Karrak Karnival Highlights

The 7-day Karrak Karnival was a great success, despite variable weather more resembling Melbourne than Perth! Many WA orienteers took advantage of the national carnival being on home turf to put in good performances, across age classes from under 10 years to 80 plus.

MTBO State Champs & National League

Long, middle and sprint distance events were held over 2 days on high quality new maps, thanks to the hard work of Ricky, Ian, Duncan & co. WA won several age classes across all 3 distances - Anthea Feaver W50 long and sprint, Ricky Thackray M21 long and middle, Peter Komyshan M60 long and sprint, Penny Dufty W70 middle and sprint,  Lois West , Duncan Sullivan M50 middle, and Ian Dalton M21 sprint. MTBO Margaret River

Junior World Orienteering Championships Report

 The Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) in Bulgaria have finished, with excellent performances by two WA brothers – Oscar and Henry McNulty.

In his fourth and final JWOC, Oscar had top twenty finishes in the field of more than 160 - 17th in the Sprint race, only 53 seconds behind the winner, and 19th in the Long distance.
