New Life Members

Attendees at the 2021 AGM unanimously approved the proposal to confer life membership on Jan Fletcher and Carol Brownlie.

We can't quite say this was proposed by Council since both ladies were council members and little subterfuge was required to ensure they were taken by surprise by the additional item of business that had been kept off the agenda.

Upcoming Event: NavDash 1, Gosnells

This weekend is the start of the winter series with the first of 7 NavDash events.

The courses are mainly in parkland so the control sites are mostly on visible features, not in nooks and crannies as can be the case in heavily built areas. Come and enjoy a pleasant area beside the Canning River (which was actually flowing 2 weeks before the event).

If you're up for the challenge, see how quickly you can get round the course without mispunching. You're always welcome to run

Perth Waldorf Sprint

With the end of the MetrO Series it's time to get back into the bush!  Well not quite but the Perth Waldorf sprint event is as near as you're going to get until the cooler months.  Set in a natural bush setting in Bibra Lake, you can almost forget you're in the city as you race around a "very" tightly knit campus featuring oddly shaped and non-uniformly spaced buildings, a couple of grassed areas, playground equipment (for the kids of course) and many pathways to keep you on your

Event Report: Hill Park Dale Long Distance Champs

After a threatening Saturday and a millimetre of rain overnight the day dawned fine but cool. When the organisers and setting team arrived there was fog in the valley which just added extra moisture to the luxuriant growth of cape weed covering the assembly area and much of the course. The day went well, there were some fast times and most competitors enjoyed the open terrain interspersed with very detailed rocky areas. We welcomed a few newcomers including one of the local farmers and his
