Lake Monger

Event 5 of the MetrO series at Lake Monger MetrO was a resounding success, with participants enjoying the wonderful clear weather despite the brisk winds. The course, which circled the picturesque lake, offered a challenging yet enjoyable experience for competitors. Although the route was slightly long, the feedback suggested that participants relished the opportunity to navigate the beautiful surroundings.

Congratulations to the short course winners, Max Fagerlined and Anna Napier. Ruben Classens and Kate Braid claimed victory in the quite-long medium course, while Sten Classens and Rachel West emerged triumphant in the demanding very-long course.

Special thanks go to Ian Fletcher for delivering an informative novice briefing, ensuring that all participants were well-prepared for the event. The success of the Lake Monger MetrO Orienteering Event would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of volunteers such as Mark and Quinn Lommers, Robert Graieg, Phil Taylor, Helen Bailey, Anna Napier, and Liisa Hirvonen. Their commitment and support greatly contributed to the event's smooth execution and the overall enjoyment of the participants.
