Event report: MetrO 11 Viveash

Saturday, 11 February 2023

Woodbridge Riverside Park, Viveash

The second last MetrO series event was held at Woodbridge Riverside Park in Viveash. An amazing turnout of participants rocked up to race around Viveash and along the river, so much so that we ran out of maps! While the Short course may not have provided lots of route choice, the Medium & Long courses were filled with plenty of routes to choose from.

Overall Course winners for the Short were Duncan Sullivan and Estelle Schnider, Medium winners were Rohan Braid and Liisa Hirvonen, and Long Course Champions were Liam Dufty and Kate Braid.2023 metro11 report2

Many thanks to everyone who helped lots of newcomers to figure out how the events work, as well as those who provided IT support (Melinda and Pam), and the willing volunteers who collected controls and helped pack up - Ian, Nick, Liisa, Lois and Rob, Mike and Nicole, the Eves family, and Jack and Sue. A very big thank you goes to setter Riley McFarlane, assisted by Sharon McFarlane.

Results are available in Eventor. Upload your track to Livelox and compare your route choices with those of your fellow orienteers. Check out the photos on the OWA Facebook page.

Current standings for the MetrO Results can be viewed in Eventor.
