South East of The Lakes Roadhouse

A fine spring morning greeted 90 orienteers at Mt Billy last Sunday. Wildflowers were abundant with cowslip orchids being a feature and a profusion of Isopogons showing off their pink mop heads.

The courses proved to be challenging and times were generally on the long side. There were some easy running patches but the vegetation in parts of the map slowed runners down.

WOW members Rosalie, Dave, Jenny, Helen and Ken were all there early to help set up with Helen and Carol taking on the instruction role between them. Melinda and Rosalie shared computing duties throughout the morning.

Special thanks go to the control collectors Jenny, Peter, Dan, Robert, Ken, Carol, Rosalie, Dave and Tom and Vicky. We especially thank Peter Komyshan, the setter, and Dan Greig, the controller, who spent many hours in the bush setting up the event.

Results are available in Eventor.
Maps, courses and routes are in Livelox. Upload your track and compare your route choices with those of  your fellow orienteers.
