Swanbourne / Claremont / Mt Claremont

It was a beautiful morning on Sunday 6 March for the first MTBO of 2022. The event was really a MetrO on wheels, with participants having 2 hours to collect as many as possible of the 60 controls scattered through the western suburbs between Swanbourne beach, the railway and Mt Claremont.

42 participants gathered for the start in the picturesque Lake Claremont park. Hadrien was the only person who got to all 60 controls and returned home within the time limit. Duncan nearly emulated him but the clock beat him by just 13 seconds. Dave Symons was just a few points behind and Liisa Hirvonen came in 4th overall and 1st woman on her first ever MTBO. Congratulations also to Quinn Lommers on his first MTBO and to the Braid and Brownlie kids for joining in. Everyone seemed to have had an enjoyable morning.

Thanks to Noel, Hadrien and Zali for helping setter Nick get the event together. Thanks to Jack for the computer work and thanks to Duncan, Debbie, Richard B, Hadrien, Ben C, Liisa, Tim S, Dave S, Mark N, Jen P, Rob B, Sue D and Ken & Carol B for helping with set up &/or control collection (apologies to anyone left out). Thanks also to Rosalie for lending Nick her bike to put out the last couple of controls.

A big thank you goes to Nick Dale who set an interesting and enjoyable event.

Results are available in Eventor and you can check out other people's route choices in Livelox.
