Bob Gordon Reserve, Bull Creek

Sixty seven people attended the MetrO event at Bull Creek, enjoying a cool evening around the suburb and the bushland of Bull Creek catchment wetlands.

Duncan Sullivan was fastest around the short course and Oliver Martin was the first home on the medium. Hadrien went solo this week and was fastest on the long course, not far behind the first medium finishers.Fastest females were Annemarie Frank on the short course, Liisa Hirvonen on medium and Jennifer Porter pipped Vanessa Smith by 1 second on the long after a short tussle at the finish control.Chip Lundstrom deserves a mention for still managing 2nd in medium super veteran male despite an incident with a parked car which left him with a map that was mostly red.

BO members provided support (welcomes, novice instruction and control collection) thanks to Rob Beattie, Ian Clayton, John and Wendy Cummins, Jack and Sue Dowling, Simon Windsor and Penny Dufty. Rosalie McCauley and Melinda Richards provided IT support with help from Patrick Dufty and Hadrien watching the computer while they were out on their courses. Thanks to all of them.A big thank you goes to Michael and Patrick Dufty who mapped the area and set the courses, and put out all the controls with help from Russell Dufty.
