A bright sunny autumn morning saw around 80 competitors make their way around some challenging and interesting courses.
The map is a nice mixture of buildings, open paddocks, some more vegetated areas around dry creek beds and some adventure game structures.

Results can be found here.

There were some fast times with Sten Claessens winning the long course in just over 18 minutes, while his son Ruben sprinted round the easy course in just under 17 minutes. The women's long course was quite competitive with Rachel West prevailing over Veronika Vavrova by a mere 2 seconds, followed closely by Ceri Pass.

On the short course Duncan Sullivan prevailed over rivals Ian Fletcher and Tony Simpkins. Marlize Bosman took the win for the women over Vickie Brownlie and Anna Napier.

The Dufty family have a special interest in seeing who has the fastest finish split. There were some interesting times. Liam and Amy Dufty shared finish split honours with 10 seconds, Craig Dufty and Matt Seward were next with 11 seconds. Rohan Braid managed 12 seconds and Reuben Claessens did 13 seconds on his second course. Archie Brownlie was next best with 14 seconds.

Thank you to all the BO club members who helped with set up, instruction and control collection, namely: Sue Dowling, Simon Windsor, Rob and Lois West, Andrea and Mason Eves, plus Rob Beattie.

Thanks again to Melinda Richards who provided the computing know-how, and not least to Phil Dufty who set the courses with help from Penny.
