Location: Fred Jacoby Park near Mundaring WeirStenMalmalling

This is a trail orienteering event, ideal for novices to learn more about orienteering, but it’s also a fun event for regular orienteers as it provides something different from our standard events. A Trail-O means that all controls are on or very near trails, so running along trails is encouraged, but cutting through the bush is permitted. Navigation is therefore easier than at other events.

Approximate course distances (measured along trails) are the following: H1 11.9 km, H2 7.5 km,  H3 4.9 km, H4 3.1 km, VE 2.3 km. M and E courses are not offered, because the H courses in this event are appropriate for those at M or E level.

The start and finish area is at Fred Jacoby Park near Mundaring Weir. The park has nice landscaped gardens and is a great place for a picnic (more information can be found here >> https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/site/fred-jacoby-park)
