The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will follow the NavDash event at Gosnells City Council Offices, 2021 Albany Highway, Gosnells on 31st March 2019.

The OWA AGM is an opportunity for ALL members to raise issues of concern or interest, to contribute to discussion on these issues, and to choose who will run the Association for the coming year. Please be there to have your say! Please note that ”Constitutional Changes” is an Agenda Item.

A notification from the Department of Commerce Consumer Protection (see below) requires OWA to update our Constitution.

“January 2017: All incorporated associations are required to review and where necessary update their rules (often known as the constitution) to ensure the document complies with the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (the Act). Associations have until 1July 2019 to comply, but we recommend the review starts now.”

Copies of the present OWA Constitution and the proposed revised Constitution which complies with the requirements of the Act are available for review from the OWA website.

Please read and consider these documents as a proposal to accept the revised constitution will be put at the AGM.

The elections for the office bearers will take place at the AGM. While some Council members are prepared to stand again, please remember that all positions will be open and if you are interested in standing for any of them you should let people know so that you can be nominated. Different people with new ideas are always welcome.
