Saturday was the final event in the 2018-19 Metro Series. It was held in Mt Claremont starting from the lovely grounds of John XXIII college. Rob and Lois West provided challenging courses that kept participants thinking for some time about how best to collect the required number of controls. Thanks so much Rob and Lois for your efforts setting.
Following the event, day presentations were completed with a number of spot prizes drawn, followed by series presentations. Many tight contests over the series came to a head in this event with some people completing the minimum 7 events on this final day, including Sten Claessens who was the only competitor to manage a perfect score of 700.
Well done to all participants and thank you to those who attended regularly for your support of the series. Thank you also to all the setters, some of which were first time setters, and all the people who came and volunteered to help on the day. From briefings, control collection, taking photos or processing the results your efforts have been much appreciated.
