near Beverley
Orienteering returns to this beautiful rocky ridge, south-west of Beverley. The terrain is open and fast, but steep in parts, which makes good route choices essential. Magnificent granite boulders, cliffs and rock surfaces are complemented by panoramic views. A full suite of courses are available in this traditional-style bush event.
First used in 2004, Umuna is named after the sheep grazing property of Rob and Cherry Williamson, who along with manager Tony Bailey, have kindly allowed to us to run there again.
A bonus is that it’s a State Orienteering League (SOL) event, so you can earn points for the Orienteer of the Year as you run. Learn what the SOL is all about. Check the events to attend in 2018, what course to run for this event and how to earn points. No pre-entry required.
