Maylands

This week the MetrO Series is riverside at Clarkson Reserve, Maylands - see below for directions.

The MetrO Series is very suitable for beginners, with no previous orienteering experience necessary, and members of the public are most welcome at this event. Registration will be open from 4.15pm until the Start at 5.00pm. There will be a briefing for beginners at approximately 4.30pm.

There will be three courses on offer of approximately 2-3kms, 5-6kms and 7-8kms, all with easy navigation. For more information about the event format and procedures, visit the Urban Event Guide page, where you will also find a sample course map.

The event provides opportunities for social and leisure activities, for example bring a picnic or bbq for a riverside evening meal, or bring watercraft for a paddle around a very interesting stretch of the Swan River. Prior to the event you could visit Maylands Waterland, which is ideal for families, especially with young children, and has very reasonable admission fees.
