The third of the State Orienteering League (SOL) events, this one is a middle distance format, which means tight courses, lots of controls and expected winning times of between 25 - 35 minutes. Courses: Expert 1, 2, 3, and 4; Active 1, Starter 1 and 2 (course lengths based on winning times of 25 to 35 minutes) 
Map: Marginata: 1:10,000, 5m contours

Registration Times: 09:00 – 11:00am Start Times: 09:30 – 11:30am Courses Close: 1:00pm

Equipment: Sport Ident tag, compass, tick repellent, leg protection, water Facilities: Chemical Toilet, cake stall

Directions: From Midland take Great eastern Highway, then Great Southern Highway to York (just past Lakes Roadhouse). After 14kms, turn right into Yarra Rd and proceed for approximately 12 km to parking/assembly area (3-4km past Helena River).

SOL Information: As this is a SOL event, points will be available for the Western Australian "Orienteer of the Year" award. For this non-Championship middle distance event you need to enter a minimum of the following courses, according to your age group.
