Mt Lawley Campus , Saturday 29th June 2013

Half-way through the year, half-way through the Orienteering Calendar, and event 7 of 10 NavDashes for 2013! The ECU Mt Lawley NavDash will follow the usual format, with two sprint orienteering courses around a complex set of buildings and grassed areas encompassing both the University campus and Mt Lawley secondary and (temporary) primary schools.

The event is suitable for, and open to, both beginners and experienced Orienteers, with the usual Beginner Help and Briefings available.

Registration and Event starts times:

Registration: 12.30-2pm (note the earlier time!)
Starts: from 1.30pm until 3pm
Beginners Briefing: 1.30pm
Event Fees: Standard NavDash Event Fees apply

This is an enter on the day event. However pre-registration is available, via Eventor, until noon on Thursday, but ONLY for Orienteering Western Australia Full Members who have their own SI Card. All other participants, including new and existing Casual Members, should register on the day of the event.

Important Notice:

All participants in NavDash should read the NavDash Special Mapping Features document.  This document describes map features which in sprint orienteering are forbidden to cross or enter, and could lead to your disqualification from the results.

Event Directions:

Assembly Area: The assembly area for the event is the Rotunda on the East side of Building 7.
Driving directions: If driving to the event, the nearest Mitchell Freeway exits are Vincent St (coming from North) and Charles St (from the South), which crosses Vincent St. From Vincent, turn left into Fitzgerald St and follow this for 2.1kms to Bradford St (NB Fitzgerald becomes Alexander Drive after crossing Walcott St). After turning right into Bradford St from Alexander Drive  take the first entry to ECU on your left after 100 metres, turn left at the roundabout to enter the Parking area, all bays are free on weekends.

Take the footpath between Buildings 3 and 7 to the assembly area.

Other transport options: The nearest train stations are City West on the Fremantle line (4kms from the event), Leederville on the Joondalup line (4kms), and Mt Lawley on the Midland line (2kms).
