This is a great area for those new to MTBO or less confident riding on difficult trails, particularly the short and easy courses. It is also a nice place for a day out with the family. The courses will be mostly suitable for gravel bikes, and eBikes are always welcome too, or if preferred you may run a course. Regular riders are encouraged to bring along some friends who may be interested in trying MTB Orienteering.
The terrain is undulating native forest with mostly fast riding wide tracks; some quiet suburban areas with small, detailed bush sections; compact mtb park with 2 uphill trails and 7 downhill trails, rated Blue (moderate) and Green (easy) riding difficulty. Whilst mountain bikes are preferrable, all courses could be completed on gravel bikes, with only the early parts of the Long, Medium, and Short courses using the somewhat rocky mountain bike trails.
Pre-entry is preferred on Eventor (or you can enter on the day at the event). If you are not a member of OWA but would like to enter online, you will need to register an account on Eventor before completing your entry. Then, once logged into Eventor, select the event and enter and pay online. See our guide for How to register on Eventor.
