Avon Valley National Park, Sunday 24th March
The next Orienteering event is Sunday 24th March at Avon Valley National Park, with early registration and start times. Registration will be open from 8.00am to 9.30am, with the start times from 8.15am to 10.00am; make sure you arrive before 9.30am in time to register.
For the Expert and Active courses there is a 600m walk along a gravel road to the Start. There will be an easy Starter course of 2.1km for beginners, and two Expert courses of 5.8km and 3.9km. An Active course of 3.4km is available for those with some Orienteering experience. Members of the public are welcome at this event, and OAWA Instructors will be available to help beginners.
Facilities available: toilets, water on courses and at the start and finish, cold drinks and cake on sale.
In addition to the Event Entry Fees there is a National Park entry fee of $5.00, payable with your entry fee on registration. Do not pay at the Park entrance – if the toll booth is manned, tell them you are Orienteering. The assembly area has little shade and participants may wish to bring some shelter.
