• Orienteering summer series

The 2024/25 Summer Series of Orienteering will commence on 9 November 2024 with the opening event in Ashfield. MetrO events are designed to cater to all skill levels, and the series offers an excellent way to stay active and sharpen navigation abilities throughout the summer months.

All our events are suitable for beginners and families, with newcomer briefings held before each MetrO event and instructors available at Sprint events. Many MetrO events are also suitable for mobility restricted, prams, and dogs.

This season will feature ten MetrO events and three Sprint events, providing participants with opportunities to engage in both urban and campus-style orienteering across Perth. See a full list of the events on the OWA Event calendar page, or download the MetrO 2024-25 series flyer.

Not sure what to expect? Read more about MetrO series, and if you're new to MetrO, check out our MetrO series tips. If you are after some competition across the series, check out how to score points in the MetrO series rules.

More information will be available in Eventor closer to each event. To enter online, follow our guide for How to register on Eventor. Alternatively, you can sign up in person before the event starts.

Whether you choose to run, jog, or walk, each event promises the excitement of finding checkpoints against the clock (or at our own pace). Join us this summer for an adventure-filled season of orienteering!

The series is proudly organised and managed by the WA Nomads.
