4 day course in March

Ever thought about trying orienteering but not sure what to do?

Using Orienteering Australia's "Learn to Orienteer" resources, OWA has designed a four day course to introduce first timers to the skills of orienteering. Coaches will help guide you through the basics of reading an orienteering map and how an orienteering event works. You will have the opportunity to practice basic skills with coaches on hand to help you before trying an easy course on your own.

Course structure:

  • Two Saturday sessions (4-6 pm), on March 9th and March 23rd. Run by experienced coaches, each session will have clear instructions, fun practice activites and an orienteering course to test your new skills.
  • Both Saturday sessions are followed by an event on the next day (Sunday) where you can put your new skills in practise. A coach will be available to support.
  • The course fee includes both Saturday sessions, and entry fees to the Sunday events, i.e. 4 sessions in total.

Places are limited! Download the course flyer, and reserve your place on Eventbrite.
