Whiteman Park, Whiteman

This event is sold out. The regular Orienteering WA event at Whiteman Park is still open for entries, including for newcomers.

Ever thought about trying orienteering but not sure what to do? Join us for a FREE introductory session for beginners at Whiteman Park!

What is it?
The Beginner's Course is designed to introduce first timers to the skills of orienteering. Coaches will help guide you through the basics of reading an orienteering map and how an orienteering event works. You will have the opportunity to practice basic skills with coaches on hand to help you before you can have a go at an easy course on your own. Finally the group will meet to de-brief and enjoy the morning tea we provide.

Cost: FREE, including entry into the Orienteering WA event and morning tea.
When: 27th March, meet at 9am.
Where: Whiteman Park Village, Shelter C near Carpark 5. See map for shelter location, and the Orienteering WA event for driving directions. Note that the east entrance to Whiteman Park is currently closed, see detour map.
