Perth Waldorf Sprint

With the end of the MetrO Series it's time to get back into the bush!  Well not quite but the Perth Waldorf sprint event is as near as you're going to get until the cooler months.  Set in a natural bush setting in Bibra Lake, you can almost forget you're in the city as you race around a "very" tightly knit campus featuring oddly shaped and non-uniformly spaced buildings, a couple of grassed areas, playground equipment (for the kids of course) and many pathways to keep you on your toes.  If you're lucky you may even spot a quenda or two (there are many living on the property).

This is a compact school campus (the map will be set at 1:1500!) so you can expect many controls and direction changes.  In order to accommodate the number of controls, Ricky's breaking the rules for this event with flags located very close to each other so be vigilant.  There will most definitely be map flips and also a map exchange (on the long course).  For those with older SI sticks, you may need to trade up for this event if you wish to participate on the long, which will have far more than 30 controls (anything less than SI-9 - i.e. 6 digit sticks - will not cut it but our hire sticks are quite capable).

Hope to see you there for this head turning event (there will be long, short and easy courses available - see Eventor for course lengths and control descriptions; please print your own descriptions if you prefer these but they will also be on the map).  Note that there is limited parking within the school but ample parking right outside the gate.  Please try and enter early to give an indication of map numbers to the organiser.

Please pre-register on Eventor.  Entries close 11:59 pm Friday 19 February but don't leave it to the last minute.  If you could try and register by Thursday we can better gauge how many maps to print.  Thanks.
