Kaya and welcome to the Kambarang Carnival in the South Western corner of WA - Noongar boodja.

The Carnival Organisers would like to acknowledge that our events are being held on Noongar boodja and recognise the strength, resilience and capacity of Noongar people in this land. We recognise that since time immemorial, the Noongar people have maintained a living cultural, spiritual, familial and social relationship with Noongar boodja.

Kambarang is one of the six Noongar seasons. It refers to the months of October and November, typically characterised by an explosion of colour in the bush and the return of warmer weather. Beware of some of that colour though - yellow flowers almost always mean prickle bushes!

We encourage people from all across Australia and the world to come and join us for what promises to be a fantastic, week-long carnival of events. The Carnival events revisit the site of the first Australian Championships held in WA back in 1988, as well as maps from Easter in 1993 and 2011. The Sprint events feature two new maps at beautiful school campuses along the Swan and Canning Rivers.
