TERRAIN

A mix of granite, gullies and spurs in mainly runnable forest. First used for the Australian Champs in 1988, this fabulous area has been begging for a return to the national competition arena.

Werdin is the Noongar term for valley.

Avon Valley / Gogulgar Werdin is in the boodja (country) of the Whadjak Noongar people, close to their border with the Ballardong Noongar people.
