Orienteering Western Australia -- OWA -- was founded in 1974. For over 40 years we have been providing orienteering sporting opportunities for Western Australians.

As the central State body, OWA is affiliated with Orienteering Australia Inc which is in turn affiliated with the International Orienteering Federation. Our six clubs - four based in Perth, one in Bunbury and one in Albany - provide a social and organising structure for a range of orienteering events throughout the year.

Our goal is to provide high quality and enjoyable orienteering events in Western Australia for regular, occasional and first time orienteers.

With a developing demand in our society for outdoor sport and fitness opportunities for all age groups, Orienteering is attracting increasing interest in the community, particularly from schools. OWA is happy to respond to requests for information and assistance as the sport continues to develop in this State.

The State government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Lotterywest is a major supporter of Orienteering WA in Western Australia. Sport and recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier and safer communities.

OWA Council

Orienteering Western Australia is managed by the OWA Council. The Executive comprises the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  Council also includes Convenors with specific portfolios (e.g. coaching, mapping, technical, promotions) and general members.
